Mikkel Rønnow Musicals has recently developed and presented two world premieres: She Loves You with songs by Lennon & McCartney (Tivoli 2022) og Margrethe (The Royal Theatre 2023). We have also been behind the successful revival of the greatest Danish musical hit of all time Atlantis (Tivoli 2021), Chess (Tivoli 2018) og Chess (Det Ny Teater 2025).
As a producer, Mikkel Rønnow has been behind successful musical productions in Denmark for over 30 years, most recently CHESS at Det Ny Teater, MARGRETHE at The Royal Danish Theatre and ATLANTIS in the Tivoli Concert Hall. Mikkel Rønnow has produced no fewer than six productions of CHESS as well as critically acclaimed productions of MY FAIR LADY and GREASE.
Together with Stig Rossen, Mikkel Rønnow produced in 2001-2004 major productions of Chess, Copacabana and Les Misérables with a leading cast of West End actors.
As senior producer at Aarhus Theatre, Mikkel Rønnow was in charge of a large number of plays and musicals, including the Reumert-winning theater concert with songs by LEONARD COHEN.
In addition to being a producer, Mikkel Rønnow has an extensive career as a musical director, and has in this capacity conducted musicals such as SWEENEY TODD, LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, CABARET and CHESS at the Aarhus Theatre, CANDIDE at The Funen Opera, CHESS at Fredericia Theatre, WEST SIDE STORY at Musikhuset Aarhus and on DR P2 as well as Denmark tours of LES MISÉRABLES, MY FAIR LADY, COPACABANA, GREASE, MADE IN AARHUS and the concert tours of I LOVE MUSICALS and I LOVE MUSICALS 2.
He has released and conducted musical theatre albums with Odense Symphony Orchestra, City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra as well as English and Danish studio orchestras on his own record label.
