The theatrical concert MADE IN AARHUS tells love stories with songs from five decades of iconic music from the Danish city of Aarhus. When you dive into the catalogue of songs, you realize that happiness and love aren’t just found in the big, infatuating whirlwind of traveling off towards the sunrise. It is just as much a part of the ordinary and seemingly trivial everyday life. You just have to learn how to see it. You have to learn how to notice the guy sitting at the bus stop or the girl sitting in the corner of the café. The audience will experience a story where we follow a number of people’s encounters in life. We all meet thousands of people in our lives, but do we ever notice if they are holding our happiness in their hands? As Gnags says in one of the songs: ‘To learn to see, you have to look’. With Made in Aarhus, we look at the songs in order to learn how to see love.
